I’m really into exploring game worlds and just getting lost in them. I’ve heard The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) has some vast maps that are great for exploration. Do you think it’s worth buying the game if my main interest is wandering around?

If you can get the game on discount, go for it! It’s enormous and the atmosphere is beautiful, but paying full price just to wander might be a bit steep. Exploration is a key part, and the music really enhances the experience.
This is what I love about the game! Just riding around and soaking in the scenery can be super relaxing. Plus, there are lots of mini-quests scattered about if you feel like diving into them while you explore.
Totally worth it! A lot of people underestimate the exploration aspect in ESO. While some complain that there isn’t much to discover, you’ll find plenty of hidden lore books and skyshards if you dig a little. Plus, the world is massive, so you can easily get lost in it and enjoy the ride.
There’s plenty to find, and you can easily lose hours just in the maps alone. But keep in mind, it’s not like Skyrim where hidden treasures are everywhere. If you’re focused on just exploring, you might start feeling like you’re missing out on the game’s broader content.
I’d wait for a sale before diving in. I snagged it for around 5€ during a promotion, and it came with the Vvardenfell DLC, which gave me plenty of adventures. This way, you can see if you like the game without shelling out full price right away.
