I stopped playing Elder Scrolls Online back in 2019 when I was Champion Points 500. Now that I’m back, I’m a bit lost since my build is probably outdated. I’m mainly interested in jumping into the newer stuff like dungeons, trials, and any fresh activities, but I want to skip all the questline story content. Should I resubscribe to ESO+ or just buy the content pass? Also, I have about 3000 crowns saved up — is there a smart way to spend those to maximize what I get?

I also recently came back after a long break, and grabbing ESO+ was one of the first things I did. The endless craftbag alone makes it worthwhile for catching up because it lets you store tons of crafting mats without cluttering your inventory. Plus, since you’ve got 3000 crowns saved, you could also consider using some to buy specific DLCs or cosmetic items if you want to customize your character further, but ESO+ really covers almost everything you’ll want to get into the new content comfortably.
If you’re talking about catching up on all the content you’ve missed since 2019, ESO+ is generally the way to go. It gives you access to a massive amount of DLC including dungeons and trials, plus you get perks like crafting benefits and extra inventory space. The content pass mainly covers the latest expansion and a few things, but you miss out on a bunch of older dungeon content that ESO+ includes. So if dungeons and trials are your focus, ESO+ is usually more bang for your buck.
ESO+ adds a ton beyond just new dungeons and trials — you get new gameplay mechanics like Jewelry Crafting, Antiquities, and even new skill lines. These can really refresh your build options and game experience. The content pass is more limited to recent story and zones, and doesn’t include all those extra mechanics or past dungeon packs. So if you want more variety and to expand your crafting options along with the new content, ESO+ is the better option.
That makes sense! Yeah, I mostly want the cozy grind of dungeons without the heavy story investment.
