I’ve been playing Rocket League a lot lately, and I’ve started to notice some significant changes in the game controls and car speeds. Recently, my flips feel way off—sometimes I won’t even flip properly or I’ll accidentally flip in the wrong direction. Interestingly, all cars seem to be slower than they used to be; it feels like sports cars are driving as slowly as the Merc, and the Merc feels like it’s weighed down like a brick. Am I just imagining things, or has Epic Games made some unannounced changes to the game?

I totally relate! My controls have also felt a bit weird lately—sometimes I try to flip but end up double jumping instead. This didn’t happen before this season. Just an Xbox player here, too!
Same here on PC! It’s annoying when you can’t even pull off basic moves.
Honestly, there have been days where it just feels like my car can’t touch the ball no matter what. I usually just blame lag, but who knows? It could be something on Epic’s side that we’re not aware of.
I’ve definitely felt that the servers are worse than before Epic took over. It feels like the server has a hiccup every few games, impacting gameplay significantly.
I’ve felt a little off with my mechanics too. Just a note: maybe check your controller settings, like the deadzone? Could be something simple that’s causing the issues you’re feeling.
It sounds like you might be experiencing performance issues rather than Epic directly messing with the game. Some players have mentioned input latency and frame drops affecting their experience, which could definitely feel like the controls are off.
Yeah, I’ve noticed frame drops too, especially during critical moments. It’s frustrating! My performance stats from the game show inconsistent FPS, making it pretty tough to play well.
Right? I thought it was just my GPU starting to fail when I noticed stuttering.
Sometimes it’s just the usual ups and downs with gameplay experience. I’ve noticed after each season things seem a bit off, but usually, the pros would call it out if there were any big changes from Epic.
Yeah! With the game being so competitive, you’d see the pros mention it if any anomalies were present.
I actually haven’t noticed too much change. I’ve been racking up hours and it feels pretty steady for the most part. Maybe some connection issues are affecting others more than myself.
Same here, though I did notice some frame lag with certain boosts. It can be such a mind game, though.
Since they switched engines, weirdly, sometimes my car seems to be moving slower than it should as if I have to re-learn how to control it every game. Let’s hope Epic isn’t tweaking things under the hood.
Ugh, I know that pain! It drives me nuts!
