I’m getting back into Destiny 2 after a long break since its launch and the first raids. I’ve never bought any expansions or dungeon keys before. Now with the announcement of the new game, I’m wondering if it’s worth investing in the Light & Darkness Collection, which is currently $37.49 on Xbox. Also, is it worth purchasing the dungeon keys, especially since I don’t have friends to raid or run dungeons with and will mostly be solo or using matchmaking? Looking for advice on whether these purchases are worthwhile for someone re-entering the game.

If you enjoy Destiny 2, grabbing the Light & Darkness Collection is definitely worth it. It updates you with all the new content, including class abilities and story, so you won’t feel lost jumping back in.
Honestly, it’s a pretty decent deal right now. Destiny 2 can get pretty complex, so expect to spend some time checking out guides and videos to get your bearings if you’re coming back after a long break. But once you do, it’s a lot of fun and the collection at that price is a steal compared to buying stuff separately.
The content in the Light & Darkness Collection goes on sale pretty often too. If you’re not in a rush, you might catch it for even cheaper. But at $37.49, it’s definitely a good price for the amount of content you get. Dungeon keys add some nice variety with the dungeons themselves.
Totally worth it! The Light & Darkness bundle brings you up to speed with all the expansions and new stuff. Also, dungeon keys unlock some really fun content, and the only way to get certain rare loot like the Gjallarhorn is through dungeons. Even playing solo, you can find groups or use matchmaking for raids and dungeons, so don’t worry about not having a squad.
Good to know the keys open cool stuff too. I was skeptical if solo players would really enjoy the dungeons, but sounds like there’s options.
Yeah, that sounds promising! I was worried about feeling behind but if it catches me up, that’s great.
