Hey folks, I’ve been trying out Alone in the Dark and honestly, I think it’s a solid game! I really dig the setting and the graphics are impressive. Sure, the combat has its flaws, but overall I enjoyed it way more than I anticipated. What are your thoughts?

I had fun and got the platinum easily—it has some simple puzzles. It’s a solid time!
Not bad! I didn’t expect it to blow me away; it’s decent. The campaigns do feel similar though, which makes me less inclined to replay. I had fun with Emily’s storyline, though! :)
If you’re asking if it’s just you, trust me, you’re not alone! It rarely is when anyone has a thought like that.
It’s okay, definitely not on the same level as Silent Hill 2.
I had a good time with it too! It’s not winning any awards, but it’s enjoyable overall. My main issue was that the two main characters felt too similar, so it didn’t really encourage replaying, but I didn’t have any major complaints otherwise.
Just started it too! About an hour in and I’m really digging it so far.
I’m enjoying it too! I went in with no expectations and just get good vibes from it overall.
Yeah, the combat is janky, more like blueberry jam than jammy. Movement felt clunky and the camera was too close, honestly. The story was alright but baffling at times. Puzzles were decent, though!
Does the story improve? I found it pretty basic in the first 45 minutes—nothing stood out much.
I liked it, but it’s definitely not straightforward. It keeps you guessing!
It all comes down to expectations. If you jump in knowing it’s just okay, then it’s not disappointing. Just like my experience with The Callisto Protocol; got it through PS Plus and thought it was fun even with its flaws.
Not as good as Resident Evil or Silent Hill remakes but still a decent game!
I found the pacing slow, puzzles were too easy, and the combat felt like battling a drunk guy. But it looks good overall, and the voice acting nailed it. If you enjoy slow burns, it’s solid enough.
I downloaded it and thought it was great! The gameplay and graphics were amazing, even though the story wasn’t perfect. I’d totally be up for a sequel!
I think the atmosphere is one of its strong points, though the story gets a bit tangled. I actually had to look up some “story explained” videos after playing because I was confused!
Lol, right? I don’t think we’re meant to fully grasp what’s happening.
I felt it was kind of like Stranger Things, but with magic rather than a different dimension. Just a wild mix of imagination fueling everything!
Who should I pick if I’m only playing once? Is there a character that’s a bit more fun?
