Hey everyone! I’m going to be traveling for work and want to keep gaming while I’m away from my main desktop. I’m considering buying the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16 with an RTX 4070 for $950, but it only has 16 GB of soldered RAM. Do you think 16 GB will be enough for the next couple of years? I want to make a good investment without hitting issues too soon. Any advice would be awesome!

16 GB will handle average gaming and productivity tasks, but Windows itself can use a good chunk of that. I’d say if you’re into serious gaming or heavy tasks, you should definitely opt for 32 GB.
Honestly, you should just go for the 32 GB version. You’ll be way happier in the long run with that extra memory.
With an RTX 4070, I really think 16 GB RAM might be a problem right from the start. Usually, I’d recommend upgrading RAM right away, but since it’s soldered, you might want to consider a different option for better future-proofing.
Yeah, Windows can eat up to 50% of your RAM on its own! Definitely think about going higher if you want to keep up in the next couple of years.
