I’m considering upgrading my graphics card from a GTX 1070 Ti to an RTX 2080 Super. I’m based in Canada, where prices for everything from the 3000 series are pretty high. There’s someone selling an RTX 2080 Super for 150 CAD (around 108 USD). Given that this card is a bit dated, do you think it’s worth the upgrade for me? I’m using a R7 7700x and gaming at 1440p.

Definitely go for it! The 2080 Super is still a viable card, especially if you’re not playing the latest AAA titles. It’ll serve you well for 1440p gaming.
The price seems decent. The 2080 Super is about 5% faster than a $300 4060. Just keep in mind that you won’t have a warranty with it, and it does consume a bit more power, but it still performs well!
Yeah, these cards have a lot of life left in them! I got mine used back in 2021 for around $500, so this is a steal. Worst-case scenario, you might just need to replace a few thermal pads, and that’s pretty cheap to do if needed.
I’d say that’s a pretty solid deal! I sold one to a friend for about $115 and he was super happy with it. Plus, my fiancée has been enjoying my old 2080 Super, and it still performs well. Just checked eBay and while it might not be a *fantastic* deal, it’s definitely a good one.
$180 on eBay and it competes closely with the 3060 Ti? I think 50% off qualifies as a great deal!
