Hey everyone! I’ve been away from the game for about 7 months, mainly due to work commitments, but I’ve been thinking about getting back into it. One of the reasons I left was my struggle with playing the Dreadsail Reef Trial. Even at the lowest settings with no addons, my FPS dropped to around 5, making it nearly impossible to see my enemies or where I was attacking, and eventually, the game crashed. My laptop is a Lenovo Legion Y520 with an i5-2300H CPU at 2.5 GHz, 8 GB RAM, and a GTX 1050 4GB GPU. It seems to meet or exceed the recommended specs, plus I didn’t have issues in Dungeons. I was playing ESO+ through Steam while Discord was running as the only other app. Now that I’m considering a new laptop, I’m looking at one with an RTX 3050 4GB, i7-12650H, and 16GB RAM. Will this new setup help me avoid the same FPS issues? I really want to enjoy group content since solo play can get a bit dull. Thanks for any advice!

Trials can really push your system to its limits since you’re dealing with 12-player groups and a lot of action. Dungeons are generally less demanding with only 4 players, so if you’re able to handle those, you’re not missing out too much. Just keep this in mind while you game!
Thanks for the insight! I was mainly trying to grind for better gear in the trials, but I appreciate the heads-up about the group sizes and content.
