Hey folks, I’m trying to get Nvidia’s latest DLSS 310.1.0.0 DLLs to work with Preset J (transformer model) on Linux without frame generation, specifically with the game Starfield. I’ve tried a bunch of things but haven’t had any luck. If anyone has managed to get this setup working, especially on Starfield, I’d really appreciate some tips!
Here’s what I’ve done so far: I went to manually rename some nvngx files in the Starfield directory and copied the new DLSS files there. Then, I downloaded and configured DLSS Tweaks. Seems straightforward, but I’m missing something.
I used the following Steam launch options to test it out, trying to verify the Preset J setup on Linux: I checked using a DLSS Preset Indicator, edited system.reg, and added some configurations like “Installed” and “ShowDlssIndicator” to enable the indicator.
Has anyone else tried the new DLSS setup? I’d love to hear your experiences or troubleshooting tips.

Thanks for providing such a detailed walkthrough! Seems like the 570 drivers aren’t necessary since it’s really about the DLLs enabling DLSS, not the drivers themselves. It’s a common misconception, but your steps confirm that DLSS 4 comes from the new DLLs. Testing out the performance with those fancy new drivers might bring some improvements, but it’s not a must-have for now.
