Hello folks! I’m venturing into installing Minecraft on a Mac and could use some guidance. Previously, I ran it on a PC, but Mac’s system has me a bit puzzled. I especially want to know the steps to download and install everything needed to play with mods and shaders. Watched some tutorials, but they tend to differ, so any help would be awesome! Also, I’m open to mod/shader suggestions!

Hey, setting up Minecraft on a Mac isn’t too different from doing it on a PC. You’ll want to avoid optifine, as it’s considered outdated by many now. Instead, try using Sodium along with Iris shaders to improve your gameplay experience. These are highly recommended and work really well together. Also, consider using a launcher like Prism. It’s great for modded Minecraft and allows you to install mods directly from platforms like Curseforge and Modrinth.
