Hey everyone! I’ve been playing Cyberpunk 2077 on my Steam Deck, and while the game is pretty awesome, the fan noise is really getting to me. I’ve adjusted the settings to the Steam Deck preset, cranked the graphics down to the lowest and limited my frame rate to 30 fps, but it’s still pretty noisy. I’m looking for some tips or settings to help quiet things down so I can enjoy the game without all that fan noise stressing me out. I’m okay with using “Switch” settings if that helps! Any suggestions?

One thing that helped me a lot was limiting the CPU frequency using Powertools. I’ve noticed that Cyberpunk tends to take a big bite out of CPU clock speeds, especially when you pause the game. Even with FPS limits, the CPU usage can spike, which makes the fan kick in. Reducing the CPU frequency kept my Steam Deck much quieter!
Hey there! If you’re still looking for answers, you might want to try searching your question online to see if others have shared solutions. And if you find something that works, be sure to share it back here to help others who might be in the same boat!
You might want to try limiting the TDP (Thermal Design Power). By doing this, you can control the total power draw, which keeps heat levels down, and in turn, the fan speed lower. Plus, it gives you a bit extra playtime on the battery!
What’s the ideal TDP level for CP2077 to balance performance without turning my Steam Deck into a jet engine?
That’s interesting! How exactly do you set that up? Does it mean I have to adjust it every time I switch games?
