Hey fellow gamers! I’m really into using the Touchpad and Gyro control combo on my Steam Deck. I find it so good that I pretty much use it as my main PC controller now, especially for games like Doom 2016. The problem? My wrists are seriously starting to ache! Does anyone have tips or advice to help minimize this discomfort? Appreciate the help in advance!

If you love flicking and using the touchpads, you could try modifying your grip. Maybe holding the device closer to your body for support could reduce some of the strain. Keep experimenting with grip and stance until you find something comfy.
You might want to consider placing a pillow or cushion on your lap while gaming. It could ease some of the strain, depending on how you’re sitting. Finding the right seating position can make a big difference. Although it’s tricky with all the movement when using gyro, a supportive setup could help.
I tried using a PS5 controller before, but I really dislike joystick aiming. The touchpad gives me better accuracy and control. Flicking motions on the touchpad just feel so natural to me, almost nostalgic.
Switching to a PS5 controller might help you out since it also has gyro capabilities. While touchpad fans miss out on the feel, some find joystick and gyro combos can still be decent. It’s worth a shot to reduce the pain, even if you love the touchpad’s precision.
