I’m having a rough time with Lutris on my Arch Linux setup. It’s super laggy, barely hitting 10fps, which makes playing games like Starcraft 2 pretty frustrating. My PC specs are an i7 2nd Gen, 4GB RAM, and an AMD HD 6400/7400 graphics card. I noticed my games keep defaulting to the highest graphics settings, and I can’t seem to run anything smoothly. Any tips or advice on how to improve performance would be greatly appreciated!

Your CPU, while old, should still handle some gaming, but it’s the graphics card that’s probably holding you back. Try adjusting your settings; lower your screen resolution and set graphics to the lowest options possible to see if that helps.
A 2nd gen i7 is still not bad, but that HD 6400 might be the issue more than Lutris itself. It could be running better on Windows due to different driver support or settings. Experiment with those graphics settings or even consider looking into different drivers for your setup, which might improve the performance.
It might be worth considering more retro games or ones from around 15 years ago. If playing newer games is your goal, a second-hand PC might be a good investment if you’re budget-minded.
