I’ve run into a couple of matches lately where it felt like my own teammate was working against me, leading to some frustrating 3v1 scenarios. This has happened in plat-ranked games, and unfortunately, it caused my rank to drop from plat to gold twice. How do you all cope with situations like this?

Honestly, I just vote to forfeit. If everyone else wants to keep playing, I kick back, watch some YouTube, and wiggle my tires to avoid getting kicked. I report afterwards, but it feels like it doesn’t change much anyway. It’s not a big concern for me since it doesn’t happen often and doesn’t affect my rank too seriously.
When faced with a 3v1, my strategy is to report the player after the match. I also ask the other team to report them too if possible. While I practice my goalie skills to prepare for those tough spots, I honestly think reporting does little, but it’s worth a shot!
The key to dealing with 3v1s is to remember that your rank doesn’t define your skill level. Try not to stress over wins or losses—focus on what you can learn from those hard matches. Each loss is a lesson, and it helps to practice your mechanics and playstyles that you enjoy. Remember, we all have bad days online, and it’s really just an opportunity to get better!
This is some solid advice! Thanks for sharing!
Does reporting actually work? I’ve only heard about rare bans, but I see way too many toxic players around.
