I recently made the switch from Windows to Linux and I’m trying to replicate Nvidia’s instant replay feature. OBS seems to be my best option, but I’m running into issues—War Thunder isn’t being recognized by OBS, and when I try to use the recap function, all I get is a black screen (although the audio works fine!). The only workaround I’ve found so far is using window capture via Pipewire, but the video quality just isn’t up to par. As a content creator, I really need at least decent quality. Any suggestions?

Have you tried using GPU Screen Recorder? It’s not as great for streaming, but for instant replays and recording, I find it’s easier and provides better quality than OBS.
You should definitely check out configuring OBS with the game capture feature specifically for Vulkan or OpenGL. There’s a detailed guide you can follow [here](https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/linux-vulkan-opengl-game-capture.1236/#:~:text=OBS%20plugin%20for%20Vulkan%20game%20capture%20on%20Linux.,with%20only%20Vulkan%20capture%20enabled%20env%20OBS_VKCAPTURE%3D1%20%25command%25). Let me know if you mean the replay buffer; some people say it can eat into your FPS.
Yeah, I’ve tried that replay buffer too, but I noticed it seriously affects the FPS and the quality isn’t great either. It’s frustrating!
