Hey everyone, I’m struggling to get my 2.4GHz keyboard and mouse combo to work well with my jsaux dock. The signal keeps cutting out unless I sit in a specific spot, and sometimes only one device works at a time—either the mouse or keyboard, but not both. I’ve updated my Steam Deck software, disabled Bluetooth, and placed the dock close to me, but nothing seems to help. I’ve read that using a USB extender for the 2.4GHz dongles might improve the situation. Has anyone else faced this issue, and would the extender really help? Any other suggestions?

From what I understand, the problem isn’t with your Steam Deck but rather the USB 3.0 port on your jsaux dock interfering with the 2.4GHz signal. Connecting your dongles through a USB 2.0 hub can solve this issue. There’s some solid documentation on the interference issues caused by USB 3.0 if you want to dive deeper: [USB 3.0 Interference](https://www.usb.org/sites/default/files/327216.pdf).
It’s definitely a good idea to use a USB extension for your dongles. Positioning them closer to your keyboard and mouse can minimize interference and help with signal issues. It might not eliminate dropouts completely, but it should improve things a bit!
I totally get your frustration! I’ve been running into the same problem with my dock and Logitech 2.4GHz dongle. Using an extender cable has made a noticeable difference for me.
I had a similar problem when I used the bundled USB-C adapter with my dock. It worked fine for the Steam Deck alone, but adding peripherals seemed to overload it. You might want to consider testing different USB ports or adapters to see if it helps.
That’s really interesting! Thanks for the info!
