I’m having a hard time using anti-air turrets in Fortnite. They don’t seem to work for me, no matter how I arrange them. I’ve tried multiple configurations, like placing them in a D-Pad style, but they just don’t seem to provide any protection. They often break randomly, and I’m wondering if I’m doing something wrong. Are there specific setups that work better, or is there another option for anti-air defense? Any advice would be appreciated.

The turrets did get nerfed some time ago, so that might explain some of the issues you’re having. They still can be useful if you tweak their range perks. You should set at least two perks to range, which allows them to hit targets before they damage your structures. Keep in mind that they won’t protect against flingers tossing husks though.
A key thing to remember is that leveling up the turrets and adding perks significantly boosts their effectiveness. I typically deploy about eight of them in a circular formation around an objective like the atlas. It’s always a better strategy to have a robust defense with more turrets rather than fewer, so definitely try that out.
