My child is quite the Minecraft fan, playing on the Mojang app using their iPad. I was wondering if there’s a way to enhance this experience by connecting the iPad to a larger screen, like a monitor. Additionally, using a controller instead of the touchscreen would be a great upgrade. I’ve read using a PC is often recommended, but I’d like to avoid getting a new computer. Any advice would be appreciated!

For connecting a controller, you could pair an Xbox One or PS4 controller via Bluetooth directly to your iPad. No need for any additional apps. As for the screen mirroring, an Apple TV provides a wireless option if you prefer that over cables.
Yes! You can actually do both with Minecraft on a mobile device. Connecting the iPad to a monitor is possible using an adapter like a Lightning to HDMI, which lets you mirror the iPad screen to a larger display. For the controller, most iPads support Xbox controllers and others like it. The game supports this setup natively, so no extra apps are needed.
Minecraft on iOS supports various controllers, so just connect one via Bluetooth and it should work. As for the monitor, using a compatible cable or adapter will let you connect the iPad to most displays. Although there’s a recommendation for using a PC, this setup definitely enhances gameplay without needing a new computer.
The Apple TV suggestion is a great idea! Keeps things wireless and less cluttered.
