Hey fellow Tenno! I’m seeking some advice on how to create an endgame build that can handle attenuation damage effectively. I’ve been managing most content easily, but I find myself struggling against Archons, Necramechs, and various bosses that use damage attenuation mechanics. I’m open to any investment required—preferably a weapon that works well with any Warframe, so I won’t be stuck relying on frame-specific synergies. However, I’m okay with specific combinations if there’s nothing universally solid. I’ve heard that Zephyr can be particularly effective in these situations. What setups have worked for you guys? Thanks for the help!

Dual Tox Incarnons are surprisingly effective against those bosses as well. You don’t need much in terms of external buffs for them to shine; they can melt enemies down fairly quick if built right. I’ve crafted a build that utilizes them—just a heads-up that the base version can feel a bit clunky, but the incarnon form makes up for it!
I’ve had luck with Titania and her dual guns against Archons. It’s a fun playstyle where she can really dish out the damage while being difficult to hit. Just stay agile and take out a random enemy to trigger Xata’s Whisper, then unleash the firepower. It’s a nifty way to handle those tough encounters without getting much damage back your way!
Honestly, I think it would help to change your mindset a bit. The game’s design prevents players from just one-shotting bosses, and attenuation is a way to balance that. Trying to game the system won’t last, so maybe focus on finding out how to maximize your damage over time instead of hoping for those big hits. It’s about getting consistent damage in, not just big burst damage, even if that can be disheartening. Just remember, the real point is to enjoy the challenge and the fight instead of just steamrolling through it!
I see where you’re coming from! At least some bosses feel so tanky that it drains the fun. If they could add more satisfying mechanics, like weak spots that offered more reward, it might balance out the frustration!
If you’re considering frames, Zephyr is definitely one of the best against attenuation damage since her tornadoes bypass those mechanics completely. As for weapons, Burston Prime Incarnon is fantastic; it’s versatile, easy to obtain, and doesn’t rely on tricky frame synergies. Just keep in mind it lacks in AOE damage, so you might want to focus on single-target fights. Also, if you’re facing bosses like The Fragmented, using Kahl’s Garrison for air support can be super effective since they scale with enemies and don’t react to attenuation, which makes them very strong in those fights.
Thanks for the tips! I definitely want to avoid being too reliant on Zephyr for every fight. But I’ll give Burston Prime a solid look. I’ve got it in my arsenal but haven’t invested in it yet!
I’ve had similar struggles with damage attenuation. For me, focusing on high single damage hits seems to work best. Weapons like my Lex Prime Incarnon in its Incarnon mode can help out, although there are times it just doesn’t perform as expected. Also, using a weapon that applies statuses can really stack the odds in your favor. If you’re going against armor-using enemies, be sure to bring something to strip their armor. Buffs like Roar and crit damage mods can make a significant difference too. Just keep in mind, it can be tough to find the right balance with attenuation mechanics.
I feel you! It’s super frustrating when your build doesn’t quite work because of crummy mechanics like that, especially when you’ve put in the effort. I’ve been looking at the Lex and might pair it with Burston Prime as well for some serious firepower!
