I’ve come back to the game after a long hiatus, probably since Seer was introduced. I have almost 1000 hours of gameplay under my belt, but I’m struggling in high platinum ranked matches. It feels like any time I’m exposed for even a split second, I’m taken out instantly. I’ve been getting sniped particularly by the Triple Take. I tried alternative game modes like Gun Run to sharpen my aim, scoring 17 kills there, but I still get wrecked in my first gunfight in trios. I’m looking for tips to improve my game without just complaining about it.

Make cover your best friend. Avoid 1v1 shootouts whenever you can. Instead, try to pop out, shoot a few bullets, and then duck back behind cover when they return fire. It’s all about minimizing those aim battles where every second counts with this new TTK.
While cover is crucial, knowing your angles is even more important. When you’re peeking to shoot, use the right side of an object to minimize exposure. Scout the area for enemies rather than running in blind. If you’re not locked into a specific character, consider using a Recon character to spot enemies in red when aiming down sights. Finally, carrying a longer-range weapon is a must now—avoid dual close-range weapons.
Everyone is hitting on cover, but positioning and game sense are key too. Just because you’re behind cover doesn’t mean it’s a good spot. This season, being out of position can lead to getting smoked quickly. Try to be intentional with your movements and timing—know when to push, when to retreat, and when to wait for the right moment to strike. Find weapon combos that fit your playstyle, and focus on initiating fights effectively.
I’ve been doing well with the Flatline and Sentinel combos! They really help with the TTK changes.
