I understand that gateway chambers need power in order to be activated. I have connected a generator to the chamber and the centre of the platform lifted up but nothing seems to be happening. Do I need to provide power to all 3 of the platforms?

When you are providing power, the platform in the middle will have a pink meter on it that shows the power level. If the pink line is all the way to the top, you are providing enough, if it’s lower, you are not. You can find out more about the gateway chambers in Astroneer here.
