I’m really curious about the current state of gaming displays. With the latest consoles out, how many gamers are still using standard 60Hz televisions compared to those who have upgraded to full-featured displays? I know this can be a pretty divisive topic, so I’d love to hear everyone’s thoughts!

I’ve got a 60Hz TV and honestly, it works just fine for me. I don’t feel like I’m missing out on too much.
Once you go for a 120Hz setup with VRR and OLED, there’s no going back, lol. It’s a game changer!
I’ve noticed a strange quirk with my vision. When I’m playing a game locked at 60Hz, it feels the same as 30Hz to me. But if I watch someone else playing, the difference in smoothness is obvious! It’s like I can see the 60Hz as soon as I hand over the controller.
Honestly, folks who are super into high refresh rates are kinda wild. But hey, I get it; I really care about having a smooth experience too!
Keep in mind there are TVs with HDMI 2.0 that can hit 120Hz but only at 1440p or lower. I had that setup for my PS5 when it first came out, and it was pretty great!
Same here! Even with the occasional frame drops, it doesn’t pull me out of the experience that much.
