So I just had my 10+ hour save in Oblivion wiped out by Windows and I’m seriously considering switching to console gaming. I’ve been a PC gamer since 2012, but after this latest headache with OneDrive messing things up, I’m ready for a change. I’m curious about how well Oblivion Remastered runs on the PS5 Pro. Can anyone share their experience with it? Is it stable?

If you’re worried about performance, I’d say that Oblivion could potentially run worse on PS5 Pro due to Unreal Engine stuttering in open-world scenarios. But, in more contained environments, it handles fairly well.
On the base PS5, Oblivion Remastered runs in a 60fps performance mode, but it’s not always smooth in the open world — you’ll notice some frame drops here and there. Overall, it’s playable, but not flawless. So, if you’re thinking about getting it for the PS5 Pro, just know it has similar stability issues in certain areas.
I’ve played Oblivion on performance mode, and while most of the time it’s pretty smooth, you can expect slight stutters, especially during auto-saves. It’s definitely fun, but just be prepared for a few hiccups.
One thing to check before you switch is how your old saves are handled, especially if you decide to go back to PC. I’ve read that Steam does automatic cloud saves, but it’s kind of hit or miss. You might just want to make sure it’s set up correctly if you stay on PC.
Honestly, I’ve heard mixed things. Some say that outdoor areas can be a bit rough while indoors are manageable. If you’re willing to put up with that for now, you might still enjoy it! Just know that it’s not perfect.
Yeah, it’s not game-breaking or anything, just something to keep in mind.
