With so many iconic female characters in the Warcraft universe over the past 30 years, I’m curious about where Xal’atath fits in. Has she become iconic enough to be compared to others like Tyrande, Sylvanas, Alexstrasza, Jaina, Moira, Ysera, and Chromie? Who do you think ranks higher or lower than her?

It’s too soon to rank her compared to other established female characters who have had decades to evolve. Some of those on the list don’t even feel iconic to me! But hey, the more discussion we have, the clearer the rankings will get.
Honestly, Yrel feels more iconic than Xal’atath at this point. Yrel has played a significant part in the overarching story, while Xal’ hasn’t done much until recently. I see big potential for her character, but right now she can’t compare to those who have had years of development. It’s tough to label her as iconic just yet.
I think it’s a bit premature to rank Xal’atath just yet. She’s definitely got potential, but her story hasn’t fully unfolded. Remember how Azshara was built up only to sort of fizzle out? I really hope Xal’s narrative doesn’t go that way. She’s been around for almost a decade now, even if her role has been more subtle at times.
Yeah, but Azshara’s story isn’t over. She made some big moves in Nyalotha! And Xal does have a knife edge in the lore. Let’s see where they take her.
Right? Sparking these debates helps a lot. Maybe it’s just a matter of time before Xal’s story gets more exciting!
