Hey gamers! I’m getting ready for the new update on console and want to figure out how multiclassing works. When you decide to multiclass, do you completely replace a class skill tree with the new one, or do you just add new skills on top of what you already have? I’m thinking about making Nightblade my main character since I really like most of its passives, but it would be a waste if I have to lose the whole skill tree. Does anyone have the insight on how this is going to work?

So here’s the deal: when you multiclass, you can choose up to two skill lines from other classes, but you’ll have to replace your existing lines with them. For instance, you could swap out two skill lines from Arcanist for one line from Templar and one from Warden. Just remember, you can’t mix and match unless Templar is your original class. You always keep at least one line from your main class, so you’re not losing everything! Oh, and the good news is that the passives from the new skill lines will apply too. I can already see some crazy builds coming up that might need some balancing!
Got it! So my starting class actually does make a difference. Thanks for clearing it up! I’m thinking of some cool builds. And yeah, I heard some mixed opinions too, but since I play mostly PVE and like roleplaying, I think it mainly affects PVP. I’d hope they just buff the health of world and quest bosses instead.
