I’m really interested in playing High on Life. I grabbed it when it was free for PS Plus members recently, but I prefer gaming on the go. Honestly, I’m not sure my internet will handle streaming it from my PS5 smoothly. My main concern is how the game looks on the Steam Deck compared to the PS5, especially considering how stunning it looks on modern hardware. I saw it briefly mentioned in a Nintendo Direct running on Switch and while it took a hit in quality, it still looked pretty decent. So I’m curious—how does it actually perform on the Steam Deck vs. the PS5?

Honestly, who thought that game looked realistic anyway? It’s a bit cartoony, so I wouldn’t stress about perfection in graphics!
I played High on Life on my Steam Deck and also on a max settings 1440p PC. On the Deck, it looks fine! The textures aren’t as sharp compared to the PS5, but honestly, the smaller screen makes it less noticeable. It’s definitely playable and still enjoyable.
I’ve had a pretty smooth experience playing it on my Steam Deck, no major complaints. Just keep in mind that the performance might vary based on the settings you choose. Just don’t expect PS5 graphics—it’s not quite at that level, but it’s still fun!
I had issues with frame rates dropping on my Deck. I usually roll with that, but it did get annoying at times—definitely something to consider if you’re used to the flawless PS5 experience.
Yeah, I found it pretty playable too, but I did notice some frame drops occasionally that got a bit annoying.
