I’m curious about how the Helminth ability system works in Warframe. Specifically, I’m wondering if I can choose which ability I get after using it on a Warframe, or if it’s predetermined. Also, when I want to transfer that ability to another Warframe, can I decide which ability it replaces? For example, if I want to take Garuda’s second ability and replace Wisp’s third ability with it, is that possible? Lastly, can I take abilities that summon weapons, like Mesa’s or Wukong’s fourth abilities, and transfer those to another frame?

1. You can’t pick the ability you get from the Warframe; it’s set in stone based on the frame you’re using.
2. However, you can choose which ability you want to overwrite when giving that ability to another frame. So yes, you can replace Wisp’s third ability with Garuda’s second if you want!
3. Unfortunately, abilities that summon exalted weapons, like Mesa’s and Wukong’s, are currently not available to be subsumed. They just won’t transfer over.
1. Just to confirm, you don’t get to choose the ability you acquire; each frame has a specific ability associated with it.
2. But when you transfer the ability, you do get to pick which of the abilities gets replaced.
3. Sadly, none of the exalted weapon abilities are subsumable right now, which is a bummer since they can be pretty powerful.
Yeah, I wish we could use exalted abilities more flexibly! But as it stands, they really limit our choices.
1. No, the ability is predetermined for each Warframe. For instance, using Grendel will always grant you the Nourish ability.
2. Yes, you can choose which ability to replace in your Warframe’s kit, which gives you a lot of flexibility!
3. As for exalted weapon abilities, they are not subsumable either. So you’re left to work with the standard abilities only.
Exactly! It’s all set abilities for the frames. And don’t hold your breath on weapon abilities being subsumable in the future either!
