I recently got a Burston riven that boasts an amazing 150% heat and 230% critical chance, but it also has a -82.5% impact drawback. I’m curious about how much this negative impact will actually affect the performance of the riven in gameplay.

Having -impact on your riven is actually one of the best negatives you can get. It won’t hurt your build at all. Just focus on maximizing those positive stats!
To put it in numbers, that -82.5% impact is roughly akin to a -27.5% elemental mod for the Burston and -24.75% for Burston Prime. In incarnon mode, since you’re dealing pure fire damage, the -impact won’t even touch your damage output. So, it’s mostly beneficial for your Burston!
That makes a lot of sense, thanks for breaking it down!
Honestly, the perks of your riven far outweigh the negative impact. The -impact is only a real problem if your weapon heavily relies on one specific damage type. For the Burston, you’re good to go! Just slot it in, and go with a corrosive heat or viral heat build, and you’ll shred through enemies as intended.
I’m currently using gas on mine, but I’ll look into those other setups!
Thanks for the reassurance!
