The walrus is blocking the way for me to get to the desert. I need the angler key so this is the only place for me to go next. Below Animal Village there is a fat walrus who is sleeping and blocking the way to the desert. I have tried blowing up bombs and hitting him with everything in my inventory but it isn’t waking him up. What do you have to do to wake up the walrus in order to get through to the desert?

You need to head back to the beach that you landed on at the very start of the game. Head over to the right hand side of the beach and you will find the girl there singing. I forget her name but she is the one that was singing in the village and teaches you the song for the ocarina. Once you speak with her she will follow you. Bring her back to the walrus below the village and she will sing a song that wakes him up. He will jump into the water and you will be able to walk past.
