Hey everyone! I’m trying to figure out if I’m fishing correctly in this game. On PC, I typically hold down the right mouse button and move my mouse to follow the fish while pivoting up and down to guess their direction. However, I often feel like I’m too slow at it. I’ve also tried using the A and D keys, but that setup didn’t work well for me. How do you all fish? Am I missing something?

I use the mouse too. An easy trick is to pay attention to which way the bobble goes underwater; with some practice, you’ll get the hang of it. I usually hit ‘E’ as I’m dragging my mouse in the direction of the bobble.
You might want to try using the arrow keys instead of A and D. It made a huge difference for me! I felt a bit silly not switching earlier, but it really helps with responsiveness. Give it a go!
It seems to depend on personal preference. I started with arrow keys, and while they helped, my catches improved when I switched back to the mouse as I got upgrades.
When I’m going for tougher catches, I use a combination of A and the right arrow since it helps me steer better.
I’m on PC but use a PS5 controller’s D-pad to rotate the reel zone. It’s pretty effective for me, except when the fish is directly behind. Generally, I stick to common bait to meet my daily goals.
Actually, you don’t need to hold any button at all. Just move your cursor to where the fish are. Some fish can be tricky to catch if your rod isn’t upgraded enough, though.
WOW! What a difference…I feel so dumb. Thank you!
