I have come across this skeleton soldier. I have landed a few hits now and his bones ball apart when this happens but he always gets back up. My attacks don’t seem to be doing any damage to him. How do you kill this guy?

You need to wait until his bones all fall apart and then you have to drop a bomb. Once you get the beak, the owl statue nearby will tell you that you have to use bombs to damage him. Three bombs will be enough to kill him.
