Is there a way to lower the difficulty of the game? I have spoken to all the people at the bar and I don’t see a way to do it here. I also don’t see any option to do it from the main menu.

I don’t think the game has a difficulty setting. The game isn’t that hard anyway. You just need to practice at it. Once you get good at the gun controls, you should be able to fly through the levels a lot easier.
