I need to use the smelter to create a couple of building resources. I don’t see the option to create one. I have built all of the printer sizes and a smelting furnace is not an option in any of them. How do you unlock it?

You will need to spend research bytes to unlock buildings that are not currently available in the printer. You can access this from your backpack. Look to the left side of the backpack and you will see a handle. Open this up to see a list of buildings and items you can unlock for creation if you have the required number of bytes. Once you have it purchased, you will be able to construct it using a printer.
