I’ve been checking out some comparisons of the Nintendo Switch 2’s graphics against the PS5, especially for games like Elden Ring and Final Fantasy 7. From what I’ve seen in side-by-side videos, the PS5’s visuals seemed slightly better, but the differences were minimal—some games looked almost identical. I couldn’t find any direct comparisons between the Switch 2 and the PS4. Given that the Switch 2 appears only a bit behind the PS5, can we safely say its graphics are better than the PS4 but not quite on the same level as the PS5? I’m curious what others think about this, as I’m not a graphics expert! Here are two comparison videos for reference: [Elden Ring comparison](https://youtu.be/u-nlrA_bou8?si=HPrY80_KZz6EKE9f) and [FF7 comparison](https://youtu.be/4qvMhb49T0c?si=EFAsQ2QJ6suGFmjR).

I’d say the graphics of Switch 2 are really closer to between PS4 and PS5. The power difference is notable—Switch 2 has about 3.1 TFLOPs compared to PS4’s 1.84 and PS5’s whopping 10.28 TFLOPs. But keep in mind, tech like new compression methods can make things tricky since they improve visuals without demanding too much from the hardware.
That’s a fair point! The compression tech does help, but at the end of the day, there’s still a significant raw power gap between the consoles. Nintendo’s magic tricks can only go so far.
