Since I often play multiple characters, do I need to constantly transfer these tools in and out of my shared inventory, equipping and unequipping them every time I switch characters? Or can I use them like legendary gear, which is always available across all my characters without that hassle?

By the way, if you’re considering the deluxe edition, it comes with the “Eldritch Horror infinite gathering tools,” which now includes glyph containers. Just a heads up, the sounds and animations can be pretty much over the top, but the good news is you can transmute over them if they’re not your style!
You’ll need to keep transferring those infinite gathering tools around between your bank and shared slots. It can be a bit tedious if you switch characters a lot.
