I’ve been playing Magnus for over 100 games and thousands of Dota matches overall, but I still struggle with clicking on the minimap too much. It often feels game-losing, and I’ve thought about switching the minimap to the right side. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Also, I tend to misclick on hero portraits, and I wish there was a way to disable that entirely.

I never really click the minimap anymore since I switched to having it drawn on the right side. You should definitely give that a try; it feels way better than the default left setup, which honestly is pretty outdated.
I click the minimap all the time, plus the hero icons too, haha! It’s just part of my playstyle, but I’m trying to improve on it.
Increasing the delay as much as possible, or even turning it off completely, can help. Just play around with it and see what feels best for your playstyle!
You might want to check the delay settings in the game menu. Adding a delay for the cursor on the minimap can help reduce accidental clicks. Just remember, this mainly works when you right-click, so it might not fix every issue if you’re using abilities from the minimap.
I tested it too, but the delay only seems to work with right clicks. If you use abilities like Skewer, you can still end up clicking the wrong way.
If you’re a camera grip player, this might not be an issue for you. I find it keeps my focus more on the battlefield instead of the minimap.
Yeah, I tried that, and it didn’t really help much for my ability clicks either.
