Hey everyone! I’m pretty new to Dota 2, even though I’ve played a lot of the original Dota and Warcraft 3 back in the day when players like Moon were dominating. I’m still trying to wrap my head around all the new items and mechanics in the game. One of the issues I keep running into while playing against the Unfair AI is that I often find myself getting ganked out of nowhere. I could be pushing a lane or roaming solo, and suddenly, BAM! The enemy AI is on me before I even realize what’s happening, and I can’t react quickly enough. I know there are signs when they teleport to towers, but these undetected attacks catch me completely off guard. I’m wondering if they might be using Smoke of Deceit or if there’s something else to look out for? Any tips on how to be more aware of these sneaky ganks?

When I gank, I usually teleport to less visible areas, like behind a tower or in the trees. I wait for the perfect moment to strike, so by the time my enemy sees me, it’s often too late! I recommend using Smoke of Deceit, as it can be really effective. You can also turn on the range indicator for your abilities to plan your approach better. Just remember to ignore toxic players when you start teaming up with real people. Good luck!
It sounds like they might be using Smoke of Deceit to sneak up on you! Pay attention to when enemy heroes disappear from the lanes; that’s usually a signal they’re planning something. It’s crucial to keep an eye on AI notifications like ‘missing Top’ or ‘missing Mid’—these can be essential clues that something’s up. Stay alert!
Yeah, I’ve noticed I sometimes ignore those notifications from my AI teammates. I’ll try to pay more attention to them and see if it helps!
Thanks for the tips! I’ll definitely give Smoke of Deceit a shot next time.
