Hey everyone! I recently found a super cheap Steam Deck for only $30, but the buttons and joysticks are all messed up—some are missing, stuck, or drifting. I’ve never replaced hardware before, so I’m curious about how straightforward it would be to buy and swap these parts out on the Steam Deck. Are there any good resources for a newbie like me? I’d appreciate any advice or tips! Thanks!

You really scored with that $30 price tag! Even if you can’t fully repair it, there’s still a lot you can salvage. I’d recommend checking out iFixit for sure. By the way, if you’re new to all this, it could be a great way to learn some tech skills.
iFixit has loads of tutorials that can guide you through the repair process, which is perfect for beginners. At just $30, you scored a great deal! Even if it ends up not working, you could always convert it into a mini PC, which could be fun!
Thanks for the iFixit tip! I’ve always been curious about hardware modifications, and this might just be the perfect chance to dive into it.
