I stopped game sharing with a person about two months ago because I started sharing games with my mom after she got a new console. I removed that guy’s account from my Xbox around the same time, but I’ve still noticed that I have some of his games in my library now. I changed my password and set my mom’s console as my home Xbox, but these games are still showing up. I’m seeing messages like “Install You can play this” on games that aren’t part of Game Pass, and I definitely don’t own them. For instance, I still have access to WH40 Space Marine 2 that I got through sharing with him. What should I do to remove these games or make sure my account is no longer linked to that Xbox?

It sounds like even though you changed your sharing settings, your friend’s account is still marked as your home console. Until he reassigns his home Xbox, you’ll see those games in your library. They won’t disappear just because you changed your settings on your end.
Once you set your console as your home console, it won’t reset until either you change it to a new console or you factory reset your current one. Your friend needs to change his home console or you could reset yours if you’re okay with that. But honestly, there’s no harm in leaving them there if you don’t mind seeing them. Just uninstall them if you don’t want the clutter.
You can try clicking on those games to see if they actually work. If you get a pop-up saying you need to own them to play, that’s expected since they were owned by your friend. If you can delete them from your library, I’d recommend doing that to free up some space. Just remember, your library lists all games you’ve had access to, including shared ones.
I’ll check if they work. It’s strange they still let me install them, even though I don’t own them.
