Hey everyone! I’m super excited because my new PC is on the way and should arrive in a few days. I’ve heard a lot about bloatware that comes pre-installed with Windows, especially from my experience owning a gaming laptop. I’m not really sure what to look for or how to completely get rid of this unwanted software. Any tips or guidance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

If you’re feeling adventurous, you can create a Windows installation USB and even a Linux one. Boot from the Linux USB first, wipe your SSD clean, and then use the Windows USB to install a fresh copy. Just make sure you’re creating a proper installation stick, not just an update version, or you’ll need another computer to make it right.
You can actually download the Windows installer from Microsoft’s website for free and put it on a USB drive. Then, just do a clean install and that’ll wipe all the bloat. The pre-installed stuff isn’t part of the standard Windows.
The easiest way to get rid of any bloatware is to perform a clean installation of Windows. This process wipes everything the manufacturer has put on there and starts fresh with just Windows.
But I don’t have a copy of Windows! Am I out of luck?
Wait, so I can get it for free? That’s awesome! I’m totally new to this.
