I recently encountered a frustrating issue after getting my PS5 back from repairs. I had bought a one-month PS+ premium subscription to play Bloodborne, and I had saved my game data during that time. However, when I got my console back, it seems like I completely lost access to my account! Now, when I try to launch Bloodborne, it only gives me the option to start a new game. I’m wondering if this is because I’m now using the CD version instead of the digital one. Can I get my old game progress back without buying the game again, or is it permanently lost?

Check your PS Plus section on the console! Your save files should be there in the cloud. Once you log back in, just download them again, and you can pick up right where you left off!
Yeah, usually when a system gets wiped, the cloud saves are still available as long as you resubscribe to PS+. You just need to log back into your account, and then sync your saves in the game settings. You should be able to recover your old progress without issue!
Exactly! Just log back into your account, and you should be good to go.
If you switched from a digital copy of Bloodborne to a disc version, unfortunately, the save data won’t transfer because they are treated differently by the system. However, if you still have access to your digital copy, you can get your saved data back from the cloud. Just make sure to download the game you originally played!
Got it, so if I go back to the digital version, my old saves will be there? That’s a relief!
Absolutely! Just keep the digital game installed and your saves will come back.
It sounds like you may have lost access to the user profile on your console, but don’t worry! If you had PS+, your save files are likely stored in the PlayStation cloud. Just resubscribe to PS+ and log back into your PSN account. From there, you should be able to download your saved game data from the cloud. Easy fix!
That’s helpful to know! So I won’t have to redo everything? I just need to find my old account and grab my saves? Awesome!
