Hey everyone! I just got myself a PS5 controller, and when I first used it with a game, the sound was coming out of the controller, which was pretty cool. But after shutting it down and starting it again, I noticed there’s no sound anymore. I checked the settings, and the controller is recognized as an audio device, but it just won’t play any sound. Can anyone help me figure out how to get the speaker on the controller working again?

I’ve had similar issues! Sometimes unplugging and plugging in your controller while it’s connected can help reset the audio settings. Also, make sure your game audio settings are set correctly—it can sometimes default to a different output.
Just a heads-up, the sound option for the controller is mainly for the headphone jack, not the built-in speaker. But if you heard sound from the controller before, you may want to check if there are any software updates or reset options that might fix it.
Try checking the mute button on the bottom of the controller, just under the PlayStation logo. If that light is yellow, it might be muting not just the mic but all sounds from the PS5. Try pressing it to see if sound comes back through the controller! Hope that helps!
Unfortunately, that’s not the issue for me, but thanks anyway!
