I’m really into the frame concept and theme of Ash—after all, he’s a ninja! I think he should totally be the default frame for a “Space Ninja” game. However, I’ve struggled to make him work effectively. Could the Tenno community and Ash mains share tips on how to play him? I’m open to builds, playstyles, and any advice to help me improve and maybe even grow the Ash fanbase!

You should check out the ‘Sharted and Departed’ Ash guide. It breaks down some great strategies to make the most of Ash’s abilities.
The easiest way to play Ash is to hit 4 (Bladestorm), target around 3-8 enemies, then hit 4 again to execute them. If situations get tough, use your second ability. For armor stripping, try augmenting his first ability, plus swapping it with Silence can boost your damage further. I’ve linked a pretty solid build in the comments that’s worth a look!
He was actually my go-to frame ages ago, but he’s been outpaced in fast-paced games. Nowadays, I have two playstyles with him: you can go the Smokescreen route and use Shuriken to armor strip enemies while invis, or you could leverage Bladestorm. The second method is a bit more energy-consuming, but it works great in disruption missions if you’re not killing fast enough. I linked an image of my preferred build too!
Those visuals are super helpful! It’s awesome seeing how you’re using Ash.
To get the most out of Ash, you’ll want to focus on a few key mods. Essential ones are Continuity (Primed is even better), Energy Nexus for unlimited invisibility, and Rolling Guard to keep you safe. For optional augments, consider Seeking Shuriken to strip armor (aim for 145 strength), or Smoke Shadow if you want to turn him into a serious weapon platform. I usually combo Smoke with high slash weapons that have viral or heat damage. While Ash’s fourth ability, Bladestorm, has seen some buffs, I don’t use it often unless I’m bored. Plus, Ash Prime has surprisingly good effective health—more than some tanks! You can even drop in some cool Helminth abilities like Gloom for tanking or Silence for extra crowd control. The gameplay loop is all about popping invisibility, using your weapons, and cycling invisibility as needed!
Nice build! I can see how those Shadow Clones could work for you.
