I have just installed Final Fantasy XIV and it is asking me for a one time password in order to login. I don’t know what this even is. How do I get the one time password to login to my square enix account?

The one time password depends on your account. If you don’t know what it is, then chances are you don’t have it setup. Try entering your user ID and password and leave the one time password blank. It should let you log in without needing the code.
If it won’t let you login without the one time password then you will need to go to your square account in a web browser. From here you should see an option in the services to setup the one time password system for their games.
You will need to get an app on your smartphone that gives you a one time code every few minutes. This code will need to be entered into the login page to login without the error.
