I’m having a tough time completing the Return to Sender commendation. It says I need to use a grapple gun to board an enemy ship, and then return to my vessel afterward. I’ve done this multiple times, but it still shows incomplete. What am I missing?

Have you tried doing it in quick succession? When you grapple on, move just a few steps, then grapple back immediately. Spending too long on the enemy ship might mess things up. Also, I was unsure if the ladder counts, so it might be worth checking that out.
I had to get a friend to help me figure this out. I actually climbed up the mast on their ship, grappled to their deck, then went back to my own. Just a heads-up: grappling onto the hull or using a ladder won’t count for the commendation; you need to hit the deck directly.
For me, it worked smoothly just by grappling on and grappling off right away. But I’ve heard stories of it being finicky. Make sure you’re boarding from the main deck directly, not from the sides or ladders.
