I recently jumped back into Overwatch after about a year and a half of not playing. Since I have Xbox Game Pass, I noticed some free skins showed up for me, which I understand are from the last few seasons’ shop skins. But suddenly, I also received a whole bunch of legendary skins that don’t have any Xbox tags, like Celestial Zenyatta, Moira, Symmetra, Happy Holly Mercy, Lovestruck Hanzo, Cyber Oni and Dragon Hanzo, Executioner Junker Queen, and more. I’m wondering how I got these skins? Could they be leftover loot boxes from the original Overwatch? Also, my stats seem off — the game says I only have 11 days of playtime, but I definitely played much more, like 27 days. What’s going on?

Regarding your stats showing fewer days played — this might be a glitch or a data sync issue. Sometimes, when the game updates or if you’re using different platforms or accounts, stats can get mixed up or reset in minor ways. It doesn’t necessarily mean you’ve lost progress, just that the stats display might be inaccurate. Keep an eye on it and maybe check with the official Blizzard support if it persists.
From what I know, the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate gives you access to all the shop skins from the past three seasons while your subscription is active. These skins don’t have the little Xbox icon because they’re basically granted through your Game Pass, not through purchases or loot boxes. When a new season starts, the skins from the oldest season will get removed from your account and replaced with the latest ones. So that explains the skins you’re seeing — they’re tied to your current Game Pass status, not leftover loot boxes from earlier.
If you had any leftover loot boxes from Overwatch 1, they would have opened automatically a long time ago. So those legendary skins are probably not from that. Instead, Game Pass might be giving you permanent access to some bonus packs like the Watchpoint Pack or some event skins tied to your subscription. The list of skins you mentioned (Celestial Zenyatta, Cyber Oni, Lovestruck Hanzo, etc.) all line up with skins that have been part of past seasonal events or shop rotations. So most likely, this is all part of the Game Pass skin perks.
So I basically have access to all the shop skins from the past few seasons as long as I keep Game Pass Ultimate? Sounds pretty sweet!
