I had a strange experience with my PS5. I was playing a game from a disc, and while I was starting the game, I pressed the button to eject the disc. To my surprise, the game continued running perfectly even after the disc was out! I’m really curious how this is possible. Has anyone else experienced something similar?

It sounds like a temporary glitch. If you restart your PS5 or close the game, it will probably ask for the disc again. It’s not common but it can happen!
You might want to consider that if you’ve purchased the game digitally or it’s tied to a subscription, your console might have converted the physical version to digital automatically. I’ve had that happen with some of my disc games too!

Yeah, it seems that PlayStation no longer requires the disc after the initial install. The game essentially becomes a digital version on your console, and that’s why it runs without the disc now.
