I’m trying to wrap my head around how we can defeat Xalatath, who is currently possessing the dead elf Inanis. We managed to defeat Inanis thanks to Knifu’s encouragement, but Xalatath was tied to a knife and isn’t just going to disappear. If we were to kill the possessed body, like by decapitating Inanis, can Xalatath just find another host? Lore-wise, there are bound to be other adventurers’ bodies around during our final showdown with her. The only strategy I can think of is using Naaru light to obliterate her and Inanis completely. Given what we know about Ethereals and her apparent disdain for them, I wouldn’t be shocked if she turns out to be an ally instead. Thoughts?

I’ve got a feeling we’re going to use some magic artifact to either destroy her or seal her away. Killing the body might not be enough based on how she’s been handled thus far.
Honestly, her only weakness may just be cookies. You’d be surprised how often cookies work in the world of fantasy!
Killing her body alone probably won’t be enough. With how she relied on us to get into Inanis’ body, maybe we can trap her instead. I don’t see her separating from her host easily, at least, if her past is anything to go by.
I have a theory that if we finish her off, her soul might just go to the Maw or get dealt with by Sylvanas, which could make for a wild redemption arc later on!
You know, stabbing Old Gods is an effective strategy, so I think we could do the same to Xalatath and really take her out for good. I mean, if we’ve stabbed a ton of powerful beings, a little dagger action should do the trick!
Yeah! A good ol’ stab at the feet should do the trick. It’s worked in the past!
I really think we can’t trust her to ally with. Remember her history? She’s been a total disaster and I would rather have the three-way conflict we currently have instead of some kind of alliance. Plus, it’s hinted we’ll see her again, so if she’s going to be trapped in a blade or something, that makes more sense story-wise.
Exactly! It would be super cliché if she turns out to be a victim of her circumstances. I like the intrigue of a looming threat.
True, but we’ve taken down New Gods, Demigods, and more. I just want a hammer for once instead of daggers!
