Hey, everyone! I know this might sound silly, but I need some advice about my favorite Pokémon – Zapdos! Ever since I was a kid playing Fire Red, catching Zapdos with just one Ultra Ball left a lasting impression on me. However, in the newer Pokémon games, I’ve been focused on building strong teams and following guides, which usually don’t include Zapdos or other favorites like Suicune, Articuno, Zacian, and Xerneas.
Lately, I’ve been feeling a bit down and Pokémon has really been a source of comfort for me. I’d love to create a fun team that includes my favorites, but I’m torn because I know I should prioritize stronger Pokémon instead. Is there a way I can put together a strong team while still including Zapdos and my other favorites?

If you’re mostly playing solo, definitely go for it and include Zapdos! You can make just about any Pokémon work for the storyline. Plus, it can be a lot more enjoyable when you’re using Pokémon you love.
Have you thought about doing challenge runs, like a Nuzlocke? If you aren’t doing that, you can beat the games with any Pokémon! I like to challenge myself with my favorites, like beating the Elite Four with just Rattata. It can make the game pretty fun and extra special! Try setting some self-imposed rules to keep things interesting!
That sounds like a great idea! I’d love to try something like that!
Are you aiming for fun in the story or are you thinking about competitive gameplay? If it’s just for fun, you can beat the games with any Pokémon, really. But if you’re going competitive, you might find everyone using more optimized teams. Just keep that in mind!
Yeah, it’s like you can’t use legendaries until later in the game, and then everyone’s just using the same competitive ones.
Totally! My only issue is that legendaries tend to not listen during most of the game, which can be a bit frustrating.
