I’m new to Oblivion and I have a question about identifying hostile NPCs. I’m used to Fallout 4 where enemies are marked as red dots on the radar, and aggressive NPCs still show up with a red title when I aim at them, even in Survival difficulty. Does Oblivion have a similar method for signaling which NPCs are going to attack me, or is it less clear?

Basically, if an NPC starts running at you, it’s usually a sign they mean trouble. Just watch their behavior; if they’re aggressive, they’re definitely not friendly!
In Oblivion, hostile NPCs do show up as red dots on your radar, just like in Fallout 4. You’ll also hear battle music when they’re nearby. It’s a pretty similar system, so keep your ears open!
You can also wait in-game, and if there are enemies nearby, it’ll say ‘enemies close’ which means they’re likely hostile. So patience might help too!
True, but you need to be pretty close to see them as red dots. If you’re far away, they might not show up right away.
